How much are you going to love Dracula Untold? In the words of the Master Vampire "you have no idea but i'm going to show you."
Dracula Untold is based on the events before Bram Stoker's story. It is directed by Gary Shore and stars Luke Evans (Vlad), Sarah Gadon (Mirena), Dominic Cooper (Mehmed), Charles Dance (Master Vampire) and Art parkinson (Ingeras).
Vlad is willing to do anything to protect his family and townspeople. The film focuses purely on his story revealing how he became the monster that everyone sees him as today. It's a stunning film and Shore has managed to capture every moment through the use of camera angles and slow-motion editing, positioning the audience to follow Vlad where he goes and seeing things from his perspective.
Luke Evans' performance is mesmerizing as he creates empathy for the character. This is the first major film Evans has been cast as the main protagonist and i'm certain it won't be his last. He is a truly magnificent actor who will have many big roles to come.
The movie is filled with sad, jumpy and scary moments that will have you in a rollercoaster ride of emotions. There may be tears streaming down your face but you will love every second of it. If you haven't decided on watching it, i urge you to go check it out. You will not be disappointed. I can guarantee that.
